Henry "Hanky-Boy" Haynes

A retired postal worker with 23 years of service, he died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. He was 64 and a resident and native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home on Tuesday, Dec. 28, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Religious service at First Baptist Deaf Church at noon Wednesday, Dec. 29, conducted by Pastor Michael A. Mack and officiated by the Rev. Arnold Austin. Survived by his wife, Lois A. Haynes; daughters, Debbie Thomas and Quinesta Randolph; son, Quience Randolph; two sisters, four brothers and five grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Isadore and Frances Hodges; parents-in-law, Simmie and Addie Armwood; and two special brothers-in-law. He was a graduate from Southern University School for the Deaf and Arkansas Technical School for the Deaf. He was very dedicated to his church and signing with his chorus. Short Bio
Mike Hartman graduated from Maryland School for the Deaf 1983 and then attended NTID from 1983 to 1987. During the time at NTID, he received Jesus as his personal Savior and Lord. Then Mike attended Deaf International Bible College in Minneapolis, MN. majoring in Pastoral Studies and Christian Education. He married his college sweetheart, Janelle Yoder and have one child, Stephanie who is 11 years old and very energetic girl! They will be into 20th year marriage anniversary this coming May 2011. Beginning in September 1, 2010 Mike will be serving Southern Regional Representative to 11 states. His desire to see his world - deaf people to experience God’s power and His glory that He is real!

Angelo Palazzo (1917 - 2010)

Funeral services for Mr. Angelo Anthony Palazzo, 93, will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas, who passed away Monday, September 20, at his residence.
Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas. Monsignor Keith DeRouen, Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Angels Church will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass.
Deacon Sammy Diesi will preach the Homily.
Mr. Palazzo was born in New Orleans, LA on June 13, 1917. He lived the majority of his life in Braithwaite, LA before moving to Opelousas in 2001 to be near his loving family and friends.
Mr. Palazzo was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He lived the most full and beautiful life. There is nothing he couldn't do or wouldn't try. His energy and determination were relentless. He had a green thumb and everything he touched grew into something wonderful. He took such pride in the things he planted or built. His hands, which were his windows to the world, opened so many doors for him. He is well known for his grand smile, most generous heart and loyalty to everyone who was fortunate to be touched by his life. His faith kept him strong and genuine.
Survivors include, one daughter, Alice Palazzo Morrow and husband, Patrick C. Morrow, of Opelousas; three grandchildren, P. Craig Morrow, Jr. and wife, Nicole B. Morrow; Celeste M. Morrow; Charlotte M. Moreau and husband, AI Moreau III; seven great-grandchildren, Courtney, Tyler, Savannah, and Blair Morrow; Ava Grace, Aidan and Luke Moreau, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Mr. Palazzo was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Julia Alice McCabe Palazzo; his parents, Dominic and Mary Marino Palazzo; and four sisters, Lucy P. Gremillion, Lena P. Trumbaturi, Myra P. Foch, and Carolyn "Dolly" P. Burge.
Visiting hours will be observed at the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas, Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 8 a.m. until time of mass at 11 a.m.
A rosary will be held at 10 a.m. on the day of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Catholic Deaf Action Center, 1408 Carmel Avenue, Lafayette, LA.
The family would like to thank the following people for their endless support, help and care in Angelo's later years: Wayne and Ginger Doucet, Chantel Lemaire, Virgie Edmond, Patsy Bullara, Msgr. DeRouen, Sammy Diesi, Donald Rome and the staff of Morrow, Morrow, Ryan and Bassett.

Finding a home for Chase comes unexpectedly. My husband's health has precipitated a move. We are selling the farm. I wish to place Chase very soon.

His registered name is Lord Douglas. Registered with APHA. He was foaled April 7, 2003. He was born deaf. He is over 14 hh. Two blue eyes. Sound, healthy, very good feet. Has always been barefoot trimmed by AANHCP trimmer. current coggins. Learns fast. He is a very gentle horse. Very athletic.

Sissy
Chase's sister should go with him. They have never been separated. She is like his ears to him. Sissy is APHA registered Waggoner's Sissy. She is 7 years old. Athletic, strong, pretty, black and white tobiano. Rides. Sound, healthy. Great feet.

Both had their teeth checked in April. To the right home, we can negotitate. We will leave on October 4, 2010 so I hope a wonderful placement for them will be found.

BP Claims Process Guidelines

BP will pay all necessary response costs and is committed to paying legitimate claims for other loss and/or damage caused by the Deepwater Horizon incident. BP takes full responsibility for responding to the Deepwater Horizon incident, and will pay appropriate compensation.
Individual and business claimants may file a claim in one of three ways:
Call the Deepwater Horizon response hotline number at 1-800-440-0858
File a claim online at www.bp.com/claims
Visit one of BP's Claims Centers.

Claim Representatives will then take the following actions:
Contact the claimant.
Obtain and verify the your identity and collect a detailed description of the claim. In most cases, claims can be handled over the phone, with you providing documentation by mail, e-mail or fax. In some instances the Claim Representative will meet with you to obtain additional information and documentation.
Inspect and photograph damaged property. A repair/replacement estimate may be prepared.
For business interruption losses, Claims Representatives will determine the amount of time the business was not operational. They will request financial records including profit and loss statements and tax returns.
If a claim is rejected, you will be notified in writing that no payment will be made, and the reason for that decision.
Interim Payments
BP believes that it is appropriate to provide interim payments to claimants who are not receiving their ordinary income or profit while cleanup is underway. This allows for additional documents to be provided by the claimant and for the claim to be fully evaluated.
Within 48 hours of receiving supporting documentation, the claim will be evaluated and you will be notified if an advance payment will be provided for your claim.
The advance payment will be up to the equivalent of one month lost income, based on the documentation you have provided to support the claim. This advance is not based on actual income and may need to be adjusted for any secondary payment if the advance exceeds actual income. If a second payment is necessary, such payment will be based on actual loss of income and the documents provided. If the event continues beyond 1 month, claimants will continue to receive any future payments electronically.
The check for the advance payment will be available at the nearest BP Claims Center, the location of which will be communicated to the you. Alternative arrangements can be made if this method of check delivery is not feasible.
